Hammer Raumer
A high-performance caving-specific rock hammer which is a popular choice with cavers worldwide.
The handle’s base is fitted with a hex socket (size 13) and houses an innovative small spring-operated ejector piston for removing mud.
Both the handle and the head have been reinforced to improve resistance and durability.
The handle is attached to the adze using a stainless steel pin, preventing any movement or detachment.
The sliding leash is a 3mm x 1.6m cordage, which can be used to secure the hammer to a harness.
Technical specifications
Head: Hot-forged Chromium-Molybdenum steel, tempered and hardened to HRC=50, polished and smoothed. Nickel electroplated for increased resistance to corrosion.
Handle: 2mm thick polished stainless steel Aisi 304 sleeve. Fixed to the head with a 5mm-diameter stainless steel pin to prevent detachment or loosening.
Ejector Piston: aluminium.
Grip: Black abrasion resistant rubber. Does not react to temperature changes. Non-slip with a satin finish and ergonomic grip. Eye loop for leash.
Recommended use: Designed for removing small obstructions and general anchor-building.
