The ABSORBICA®-I VARIO is a simple adjustable lanyard, with a compact energy absorber, designed to progress along a horizontal safety line (rope or cable) or a lifting platform, without the passage of subdivisions. It works with users weighing between 50 and 140 kg. It is equipped with the VARIO adjustment system that allows you to adjust the length of the lanyard and thus reduce the potential fall height. Depending on the connectors used, the ABSORBICA®-I VARIO is certified to North American, European and Russian standards.
Detailed description
Designed to progress along a horizontal safety line (rope or cable) or by a lifting platform, without the passage of subdivisions.
VARIO adjustment system that allows you to adjust the length of the lanyard from 100 to 150 cm and thus reduce the potential fall height.
Absorbs energy in the event of a fall:
- Tear of the energy absorber strap that limits the impact force supported by the user.
- It works with users weighing between 50 and 140 kg (1).
- Staged ripping to limit the deceleration supported by light weights.
Minimum volume: compact energy absorber so that it does not interfere with handling.
Resistant textile cover, with an opening system at the ends, to protect the energy absorber from abrasion and splashes, while allowing periodic inspections of the absorber.
Two possibilities of installation on the harness depending on the use:
- Frequent connections/disconnections: with a carabiner fixed in the correct position using the STRING attachment accessory (included with the lanyard).
- Almost permanent connection: with a ring with a RING OPEN closure whose circular shape ensures optimum positioning.
Two possibilities of connectors at the tip of the lanyard: carabiner or MGO OPEN wide opening connector.
